A skin rash can be itchy, red, uncomfortable – and perhaps what's even worse – look gross. But most people suffer from these skin irritations at some point in their life. When one of these annoying episodes sets in, it helps to know what they are, and why they happen. When your skin’s appearance and feel changes, you may have a skin rash. Differences in texture and color are all telltale and rather reliable indicators of a skin rash, if an intense itching or series of prominent bumps haven't not appeared yet.
Our family has been suffering some sort of skin rash for well over a month, with the exception of our oldest boy. We all seem to be getting some kind of blisters, that when scratched release clear fluid and then dry up but remain itchy for days...even weeks! They are not bites...there is no center indicating a sting. They are like heat blisters but extremely itchy like flea bites. They resemble impentego (excuse the spelling) but they do not form yellow crusts and are not on anybody's face except mine. They are effecting all parts of the body in varying degree's.
A sexually transmitted disease, also known as a STD, is an infection contracted through sexual or intimate contact such as vaginal or anal intercourse or oral sex. STDs are now commonly being called STIs, or sexually transmitted infections. In the past, sexually transmitted diseases were known as veneral diseases or VDs. I think I might have herpes. I have small red bumps in my pubic hair. They hurt a little, but not super bad. They are not open sores or anything, just small bumps that are very bright red. they do not seem like ingrown hairs. I have never had anything like this before. I am very scared. The bumps are sore to the touch. From what I have read, i do not have other symptoms, but i know herpes does not always have all the symptoms. i just have these painful red bumps. is this herpes? Please help!

In early 2007, my mother-in-law was diagnosed with depression and anxiety and was prescribed Xanax and Lexapro. During this time, her daughter was in treatment for alcoholism. I've recently discovered that she (my mother-in-law) has stopped taking her medication(s) because she says now that her daughter is out of rehab and on her own, she (MIL) doesn't need the meds and that she was feeling better anyway. I know that it's typical for someone on medication to think they're cured. I also know that not everyone needs to stay on the meds and that depression recovery is possible.
Most people are familiar with ADD in children, but did you know that adults can also be diagnosed with ADD? Adult ADD is similar to attention deficit disorder in children, and may cause many problems in an individual's life. While most of us have trouble concentrating or completing certain tasks at some point, someone with adult ADD has severe difficulties - to the point that it greatly interferes with daily life.
My wife has herpes and she is pregnant. She is very worried about passing herpes to the baby. The doctor said as long as she is not having an outbreak when she is giving birth, it should be fine. He said if she is really worried, she should have a c-section. I know it is better to have a natural birth and I think she should just do it. But, she is very paranoid and really does not want the baby to have herpes. I don't know what to tell her other than what the doctor has already said about the issue.
Hi everybody out there: I feel so silly to post this, looking for help from anybody who knows anything about my condition, or who could steer me to a urologist or any doctor who could help me. I am unable to urinate and the problem has been getting worse and worse starting about 4 years ago after several illnesses. My doctor did her best, even to the extent of installing a "device" that would hold up my bladder and colon." Well, things got worse, in addition. I am now unable to eliminate anything.
Help please! My mother has Parkinson's and she is now complaining that her mouth is hurting her terribly. She won't really eat, and is losing weight - she is already bony to begin with.
I see no sores, no visible areas in her mouth, and I have taken her to the doctor and the dentist. I am going crazy, any input appreciated!
My husband and I are trying to start a family. I have severe acid reflux and a hernia. I'm worried that I will be in a lot of pain with the pressure being put onto my hernia, as well as the worsening of the acid reflux. Also, will I be able to stay on my acid reflux medications? Thanks.
Hives are itchy, raised and annoying! They occur when the body reacts to something that it is sensitive or allergic to, which results in it releasing histamines and other chemicals into the bloodstream. While this is occurring, tiny veins and capillaries leak, and the fluid is trapped in the skin.
I am a 15 year old girl, going on 16. Ever since I was little, I have been having a white vaginal discharge. I dont have any irritation or redness like most symptoms of a yeast infection say, not even when it all began. I have taken prescribed medications for a yeast infection and it seemed to only help for about 2 days, then the discharge came back. When I was younger I tried a 7 day treatment. I'm not too sure if I followed through with the whole 7 days because that was so long ago, but obviously it was unsuccessful.

With so much discussion about the H1N1 virus, or swine flu, you may be wondering what is the difference between regular flu and the swine flu. This article should give you some easy to understand answers.
A vaginal yeast infection is pain and irritation of the vagina and the surrounding area, called the vulva. It is caused by a large growth of the fungus or yeast in the body. Yeast infections are also known as Candida yeast infections. Yeast normally lives in the vagina in small numbers, but when the bacteria within the vagina become out of balance, the yeast will grow quickly and cause pain. Vaginal yeast infections are very common in women, but it is good to recognize that men can also get yeast infections. Yeast infections in men occur when they have unprotected sex with a partner that has a yeast infection. If both partners are not treated for the yeast infection then they can re-infect each other again and again. Most women will experience a vaginal yeast infection in their lifetime and some might even experience two or more.
My son was just diagnosed with ADD - not totally severe, right in the middle of the spectrum. He has been prescribed Ritalin (5 mg twice daily). I'm wondering if it will change his personality at all? Anyone have any experience with ADD and medications? Any info appreciated, thank you so much.
Last Sunday I developed a burning, blotchy, red rash on my face. It is not raised and not hives. I have been using the same facial soap and moisturizers for years. I went to the doctor and she thought it might be due to a virus. During the week it would come and go. This morning it's more visible, burning and itchy. I just took over the counter allergy medication and used cortizone cream. I'v had B27 artiritis for 20 years, but have always tested negative for Lupus. At this point I don't know if I should go to a dermatologist or back to the rheumatologist.
